The oaks, in which the company soon specialized, mostly come from local forests. Today, we select only high-quality woods for our timber plant in Thüngen in Bavaria. Consistent quality is the result of careful wood care and extensive experience in timber drying. In cooperation with architects, new ranges have been developed over the years. We work sustainably! We have been one of the first German oak suppliers to carry the FSC® 100% sustainability seal since 2004. The Forest Stewardship Council®, FSC® for short, is an independent and globally recognised organisation. From the moment the trees are felled to their processing, the FSC® accompanies every single step of the work with its seal. That is the "chain of custody" the chain of evidence.
Wood and wood products with the PEFC seal are proven to originate from ecologically, economically and socially sustainable forestry. Since the local forestry industry, from which we mainly obtain our wood, has decided in favor of PEFC, it was our choice to support this organization.

The river "Wern" flows longitudinally through our entire company premises. In front of the mill building the water falls down the small waterfall. Traces of weather and nature make up the charm of oak reclaimed wood and are shown by cracks and knotholes as well as a partly uneven surface.
