WE ARE OAK

In 1875 the “Schneidmühle zu Thüngen” was developed at the foot of the castle hill of Thüngen, on the ground of the old castle mill. In the summer of the same year, the first oak trunk from the Gramschatzer forest drove into the splitting fence – fed by the mechanics of water power. The company has been in family ownership ever since.

The oaks, in which the company soon specialized, mostly come from local forests. Today, we select only high-quality woods for our timber plant in Thüngen in Bavaria. Consistent quality is the result of careful wood care and extensive experience in timber drying.

In cooperation with architects, new product ranges have been developed over the years. Contact us for solutions for projects or about the standards for 100% FSC® certified woods.
